If there are no Current Boxing Predictions listed here, it is probably because the boxing odds have not yet been posted for the bouts I am recommending this week.

In order to finalize my boxing predictions each week, I have to see the betting lines, which the sportsbooks often posted late in the week. That's why, on Sunday through Wednesday, there may be no Current Boxing Predictions posted on this page. If so please check back in a day or two.

We had a solid, overall winning weekend riding the wave of 2 underdog plays in Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday.

Stephen Smith was able to nip tough John Simpson and brave 4-1 underdog Ricky Burns was able to shock Roman Martinez in a grueling see saw battle. Great win for Burns, copping the WBO super featherweight crown in the process.

New picks coming later in the week with an interesting schedule of bouts to review.

Smith catches up with Crawford, stops him in the 9th
Antwone Smith scored a 9th round stoppage over previously undefeated Henry Crawford on Showtime Friday night at the First Council Casino, Newkirk, Oklahoma. Smith was only a slight favorite to win and I know many thought Crawford had a very good chance to win. I picked Smith, believing he'd he too busy and consistent for Crawford.
